First Full Week in Room 201!!

It was fantastic meeting all of you last night at Back to School Night!  We have been very busy this week learning our new 2nd grade routines.  Starting Monday the students will have homework.  Remember to look for their homework sheet and reading log sheet on Monday.  The reading log sheet does not need to be returned until Friday. I forgot to mention it last night but on Friday's the students will be writing letters to you about the things they learned during the week.  It will be in a blue and white composition book. It will give us lots of practice with writing friendly letters. Please send it back on Monday's. 


  Here are some of the things your children did and learned about this week.

• Bucket Filler & Dippers
• Read to Self- ask them what building stamina means.
• Math- we learned 2 games Addition Top It & The Money Exchange Game
• Ask your child what their 2nd grade goal is.
• We also wrote about what we did over the summer break.

Next week we will be working on learning how to Read to Someone and we will start our first big book of the year, it's a good one ask them about it on Monday.   Have a great weekend!!
