It has been an exciting week in WHES as we prepared presents for your parents and said goodbye to Mr. D.
- Mrs. Miller set up a shop in our classroom this week, we used our knowledge of money and math to help us buy items. We also had the opportunity to be cashiers at the store. The kids had a lot of fun with this activity.
- We worked very hard on presents and cards for our families too. Hope you like your presents, the students enjoyed making them.
- Today we had a special Christmas sing along in honor of Mr. D, we learned a special version of Jingle Bells about Mr. D. It was a very emotional good bye for an amazing leader. The staff, the students, parents and community will really miss Mr. D. However, we are looking forward to a New Year with our new leader Mrs. Gansert.
- We enjoyed reading many holiday books and learning about how people celebrate Christmas around the world. The students were very excited to watch the 'Polar Express'!
- A HUGE THANK-YOU to all the parents that helped plan our holiday party!!
