We continued to explore the elements of folktales. We read The Three Little Pigs, The True Story of The Three Little Pigs, and a version of Rapunzel. We discussed the point of view of the pigs and the wolf's point of view. The students made wanted posters for the wolf. With Rapunzal we made a tower with the story elements on them. Here are some pictures.
In Math we continued to work with fractions. We will wrap this unit up next week and the assessment will be on Thursday!
We have worked hard on our President's reports and they are almost done. The students have done a really good job with writing their reports. We hope to finish them up next week.
In Science we explored four liquids. This was fun but a little messy! We talked about how the liquids are 'fluid' and 'viscous'. These are big science terms for us, but they seem to understand the difference after doing several test on the liquids.
You may have noticed that the spelling homework has changed. We are bumping up our expectations for the spelling homework with the new assignments. If you have any questions please let me know.
