The year is quickly wrapping up. We are at the point in the year were we are finishing up all the loose ends. Today students took their final timed test. I'm pleased with the growth that all students showed in learning addition and subtraction this school year. Please continue to practice math facts over the summer, we don't want anyone to forget these facts.
We read and discussed using your imagination this week for literacy. We read several poems in which the poets wrote about using their imagination. The kids all made great connections to these poems.
Next week we will finish up Charlotte, we are at the fair and waiting to hear if Wilbur won a blue ribbon. The students have really connected to the characters in this book.
Of course the kids were all dissapointed that Field Day was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. However it is bruetlly hot out their today and Monday's forcast looks amazing. So remember your child is to have sunscreen applied at home and may wear a bathing suit under their clothing. We will not have to change from the wet clothing before dismissal.
