Heroes........

This week we learned about many different types of heroes.  We read stories about people who are heroes for different reasons.  Rudy Garicia-Tolson overcame the lose of his legs by inspiring others to work hard to achieve their goals.  Rudy competed in the Paralympic Games and even completed the Ironman triathlon.  We also read about Bessie Coleman who was the first African American female to get a pilots license.  She had to travel to France to learn how to pilot and be issued a license.

In math we took our final end of the year test.  This will not come home, it is for school use only.  It was a tough one and I'm very proud of how hard to students worked on this difficult test.

We continue to talk about being a good citizen and will be wrapping up our community unit sometime next week.

The students continue to enjoy reading 'Charlotte's Web'.  We have some very interesting conversations about the characters in the book.

Have a fantastic weekend!
